WHAT'S INSIDE THE GUIDE

After you book your session, you will be sent my Session Guide. Don't sleep on this Guide. It's packed full of  helpful information to ensure your session is a success. Here's just a few things you will find:

HOW TO PREPARE EVERYONE

There are lots of tips on how to prepare little ones for a session, the best mess-free snacks to bring to a session and the ones to avoid (for reasons you might not consider). I also highly recommend sharing this Guide with dads. At the very least, please make sure dads know what a Lifestyle session will be like. It can be confusing for them if they show up expecting to stand still and smile at the camera. Set them up for success by preparing them.

MY FAVORITE SHADES + THE ONE COLOR I RECOMMEND LIMITING

Not every color photographs well. Not every number of colors works well. Because I try to provide a consistent style to all my work, I have learned through trial and error the shades of each color that photograph best. I have also learned there is one color that I would limit in your color palette. Not because I don't like this color - it's actually my very favorite color - but because too much of this color changes the way I edit the photograph and will not be consistent with the work you typically see me share.

MOOD BOARD EXAMPLES FOR ALL 4 SEASONS

You will find mood board examples of various outfit inspiration for different family members during spring, summer, fall and winter. I also include store recommendations if you are shopping for outfits!

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR SESSION

You don't have to show up with no idea what to expect. I share all of this in your Guide so adults and kids both know what to expect. There will be lots of movement, playing, laughing, tickling, etc. The more open minded your family is, the more natural all of this will feel for you. Think of me as someone documenting your family as you interact with each other. I will help lead and pose you, but in ways that look and feel as authentic as possible.
